<h3>Kitesurfing wind conditions in Moledo</h3><p>Moledo’s main kite season is from May until October, when a thermal wind generally kicks in around lunchtime and blows until sunset. It’s pretty consistent with 20 to 25 knot winds most days, making for ideal kitesurfing conditions. Add to this the swell which rolls in almost daily and it makes for a really fun spot! Beginners can learn here with one of the local schools, and experienced kitesurfers will enjoy the waves on the various sandbanks and the flat sections in between. The water in Moledo varies from around 14 degrees celsius in the winter to 18 degrees celsius in the summer, so a wetsuit is going to be your friend here, but it’s totally worth it to enjoy this beautiful spot with Insua fort for a backdrop.</p><h3>Around the kite spot: Moledo</h3><p>In addition to kitesurfing, surfing on Moledo beach is very popular. Trekking tours or mountain biking in and around the local mountains are also an option if you still want to exercise! For a down day you can take a break in Caminha and visit some of the beautiful chapels and churches. Another nearby spot is Pincho's waterfalls, where you can go mini-canoeing, cliff jumping, or swim in one of the many small turquoise waters. Also, Why not take a ride to Monte Santa Tecla in Spain for breathtaking views of Portugal? As you can see there’s plenty to keep you occupied.</p><h3>How to get to Moledo Beach and how to bring it about while you're there</h3><p>Porto airport (OPO) is the nearest international airport to Moledo. The easiest option for travel in the area is to rent your own car, which can be picked up at the airport. Public transport will take a long time and options will be limited, so it’s much safer to get your own transport sorted out in advance.</p>

<p>Moledo is a small kitesurfing oasis situated in the North of Portugal away from the swarms of visitors who frequent other Portuguese spots, making it a kite surfer's paradise on a windy day. You will find yourself in a little, charming town with a long stretch of white sand beach, with waves and wind coming in off the Atlantic coast. With adventurous activities like kiteboarding, surfing, mountain biking, hiking and yoga, or simply relaxing on the beach if you just want to chill. This long sandy beach, complete with the Insua fort just offshore, is rugged and beautiful and it can get pretty crowded with tourists in July and August. The beach is a blue flag beach and has all the amenities you’d expect, with parking, restaurant, toilets etc.</p>

<h3>Kitesurfing wind conditions in Bom Sucesso</h3><p>Most wind directions work in the lagoon and the launch from Bom Sucesso is wide and sandy, making it beginner-friendly while also offering amazing freestyle kiteboarding conditions for advanced riders. The peak season for visiting Bom Sucesso for kitesurfing is between June and September, when the famous Nortada wind brings average wind daily speeds of around 15 to 25 knots. As with many places in Europe though the conditions can work any time of year, just keep an eye on the forecast if you fancy a flat water kiting mission!</p><h3>Around the kite spot Bom Sucesso</h3><p>The beaches on the nearby Peniche and Beleal peninsulas face North, South, and West, so waves smash into the beaches regardless of the swell direction. Waves will range from moderate and smooth to full-on strength throughout the year, making for ideal surf conditions even when the wind is light. Other than that Portugal is a beautiful country with tons to do and explore. Why not rent a bike and explore some undiscovered trails, or just slow down and enjoy the traditional way of life that you can find in the nearby villages. People here have traditionally embraced a slower pace of living, and when you visit it can leave a mark on you, just remember to get back up to speed when you head home!</p><h3>How to get to Bom Sucesso and how to bring it about while you're there</h3><p>The nearest international airport is Lisbon (LIS) which is around one hours drive away. Portugal has public transport but you’re much better off renting a car here to get around, especially if you want to explore the local area some more.</p>

<p>Praia do Bom Sucesso on the Obidos Lagoon used to be a bit of a hidden gem kiteboard spot, but it has gained popularity in recent years due to visits by pro kitesurfers and Portugal in general exploding onto the scene (Looking at you Nazare...). The combination of plenty of space, flat water, and the Portuguese Nortada wind makes for a fantastic kite spot for all levels. The quality of kite schools and kite surf infrastructure here have dramatically improved in recent years and so it has become much more welcoming for adventure lovers.</p><p>You are only allowed to kiteboard on the estuary and Northern side from mid September until mid June, the summer months are reserved for general public use, so if you visit in summer you’ll have to go kitesurfing a bit further into the lagoon, but Bom Sucesso is still a great place to launch from.</p>

It`s forbidden to go out in summer peak season (15.06 - 15.09). The first 500 m inside direction of the lagoon is only for beach guests.  You need to go more far in the lagoon, to the kitespot Obidos Lagoon. You can kite also on the Ocean, where will be waves and not many swimmers or tourists around.

<h3>Kitesurfing wind conditions in Obidos Lagoon</h3><p>Obidos lagoon works for kitesurfing in all wind directions. The Nortada in the summer months blows between 15-25 knots most days from May-September and is the most consistent time of year for wind. Other than that you’ll just have to rely on the forecast and check it as it comes, like with most spots in Europe. There’s a good chance of wind here due to the natural shape of the mountains funneling the wind in, so it might be a good idea to get in touch with a local kite school for the most accurate wind conditions.</p><h3>Around the kite spot Obidos Lagoon</h3><p>Cheap flights in and out of the country have helped the once-quaint west Portuguese coast to become a thriving hotspot for adventure-seekers and those searching for a more romantic escape. Anyone looking for sunny beaches, genuine local feelings, and a slower pace of life will feel right at home here. Obidos will not fail you if you look for superb meals, nice accommodation, and ideal kitesurfing conditions.</p><p>There are surf spots up and down the nearby coast and plenty of mountain biking to be done as well depending how energetic you feel. If you just want to relax, Portugal definitely has your back, with great food, great wine (and Port obviously), and great people.</p><h3>How to get to Obidos Lagoon and how to bring it about while you're there</h3><p>Lisbon airport (LIS) is the closest international airport. Your best bet is to rent a car and drive yourself, especially if you want to be able to get to the different launch sites, and to explore the local area in general. There’s parking at various points around the lagoon depending on the wind direction.</p>

<p>The Obidos Lagoon is one of the best places in Portugal to start kiteboarding because of the shallow, waist-deep water, which is generally flat and with acres of space. The Lagoon, located one hour north of Lisbon in the Centro Region, is exposed to the full force of the Nortada wind, which is funneled in by the neighboring hills. Summer conditions are ideal, but this is a year-round kiteboarding spot as Obidos works&nbsp;in all wind directions and at all times of the day. There's lots of space to practice as it's generally less crowded than some of the other kite spots nearer to Lisbon. The flat water is perfect for mastering all your tricks, whether that’s relaunching your kite, first jumps, board offs, or busting your first double handle pass. Because the bottom is sandy and there are no channels to draw you out into the ocean, the Obidos Lagoon is a relatively safe area spot to learn to kitesurf, and also offers amazing freestyle kiteboarding conditions for you aspiring pro riders.</p>

It`s all summer free to kite. To go towards the wave spot Bom Sucesso, you will need to pack your kite and go along the road. It`s stricktly forbidden to kite through the first 500 m during 15.06 - 15.09!
